Now that I’m back in Berlin, I really want to tell you about my travels through Thailand! To go backpacking in Thailand for five weeks was probably one of the best choices I ever made. I tried to avoid the touristy places and I think I found some real hidden beauty!
So here are some of my photos and three places that really impressed me.
I saw a lot of temples in Thailand, like a looot. But still this one was a special one. The temple in Krabi Town is on a mountain. You need to climb up 1300 stairs, while it is boiling hot. It is a real success when you are up there and you can finally enjoy the amazing view. Go there for the sunset!
Secondly I want to tell you about my favorite island. Koh Jum, also known as Koh Po is a small island between Krabi and Koh Lanta. While the most tourists go to Koh Lanta, it is really quiet on Koh Jum and you really get the chance to get to know the life of locals. The people of Koh Jum are half muslims, half hindus. Rent a scooter and discover the island!
The third places I really enjoyed was the old temple in Sukhothai. Most of the tourists just come for one day to see the temple but I thought it was worth staying there for at least one night. I eat the cheapest and most delicious food there and cycled one whole day through the park discovering different parts of the old temple. Be careful of the dogs at night though…
